An angel in the parking garage

By Connie McCall

I had an appointment with my orthopedic surgeon today at Methodist West. After giving up on finding a parking spot outside the building I had to give in and use the massive parking garage. The elevator area was blocked off as were the next few entrances I tried. I finally got to the entrance, had my temp taken, questions asked and answered. By this time I had no idea where I had parked. After the appointment where I learned I would be having surgery, and received a shot in my knee, I headed back to the garage. Of course my car was no where to be seen. So I walked and I walked, even went up and down a few floors by elevator. Suddenly I heard a voice call out, "are you lost"? A darling woman, Kathy by name, and much younger and more agile than me had come to my rescue. She took off on foot and soon was back with a picture on her phone that she thought might be my car. It was. Yay! She gave me directions and after a thousand thanks, she left, and I left to follow her directions. As I was in my car and ready to back out, a car was behind me. It was Kathy making sure I had found the car. I'm certain she was an angel or at the very least a God wink. Forever grateful to Kathy.
