Blood Drive in memory of Damien Logan

Saturday, November 12, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Massey-Tucker Fellowship Hall

Give the gift of life and help Grace maintain the Life Plan II Blood program through the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. This month we will be donating in memory of Grace School student Damien Logan.

Damien was a vibrant and fun loving seven year old with bright eyes and a delightful smile. He loved cars and had a huge Hot Wheels collection and dreamt of being a race car driver one day. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed swimming and riding his bike, and also loved to sing and dance. He was very intelligent and enjoyed school, with math being his favorite subject. Shortly after starting the second grade, Damien was diagnosed with Burkitt's lymphoma. His time in the hospital consisted of many blood transfusions, dialysis, and very aggressive chemotherapy. Despite the best efforts of the amazing doctors at Texas Children's Hospital, Damien developed an infection that his body was unable to fight. He lost his battle with cancer on September 29, 2019. He was a loving big brother and a caring friend and left a lasting impression on those he knew.

Please join us in remembering Damien and to help others. We will also be supporting his mother Susan Logan, and grandmother Judy Sims, who are both Grace Church members.
