Friends of Samburu, Kenya holds two charity garage sales each year, one in the Spring and one in the Fall. The garage sales are just one of the methods they use to raise funds for the humanitarian projects in Samburu county, Kenya. They are currently accepting unwanted/unneeded items for the sale. They are also seeking volunteers to help run the sale, so let them know how you plan to plug in. There are many ways you can help out. Setting up and tearing down is always a huge effort so they need all hands on deck the morning of Wednesday, April 3 (setup) and tear down on Saturday, April 6. If you are not able to work the sale, no problem--you may also prepare lunch for the volunteers and/or provide a case of bottled water. This year they are fundraising for a Sunday school class room in Kitobor and building yet another chicken coop and/or greenhouse(s) for one of the rural schools in Samburu county.
