Grace Weekly

Weather Update: Thursday, January 22, 12:30 p.m.

There is a high probability that the weather Sunday morning will include a combination of freezing temperatures and precipitation which can produce challenging driving conditions. Considering this, we are adopting a limited schedule for Sunday morning. Unless further deterioration in the weather prevents it, we will worship in the Sanctuary at 9:30 a.m., followed by a combined all-ages equipping class in Massey-Tucker Fellowship Hall. This class will include students and children--there will be no dedicated student or children’s classes and no childcare. All other activities for Sunday including officer training, the Covenant Partner Class, Student Ministries Crowded House and 242 Night are cancelled. The Grace en Español service and class are also cancelled. Saturday Serve has been postponed until February 7.

For those who cannot attend services for weather or other reasons, the service will be livestreamed as usual. The livestream link is HERE.

If you need non-emergency assistance due to this weather, please contact the pastor on call at 713-781-7615 or email info@gpch.org.

  1. SATURDAY SERVE
  2. BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE WINTER STORMS, SATURDAY SERVE IS MOVING TO SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7

Proverbs 27:9: "Sweet friendships refresh the soul and awaken our hearts with joy, for good friends are like the anointing oil that yields the fragrant incense of God's presence"

Join us on Saturday morning, February 7 for Soup Serve!

We are going to assemble a Friendship Soup Mix on Saturday, February 7, and then share soup mixes with the congregation on Sunday the 8th. We’ll ask the congregation to pick up a mix and take it out to bless someone that afternoon, so that the fragrant smell of soup on the stove will remind our friends and loved ones of the presence of God!

  3. WOMEN'S RETREAT
  4. WOMEN'S RETREAT
Join us for a fun overnight getaway in Galveston at the historic Tremont House on March 27-28, 2026! Our theme is Restored to Rise, and we’ll be led by our very own Ivy Castle Simpson. You won’t want to miss her inspiring, heartfelt message. Women of all ages will be refreshed during this time of fellowship, discipleship, and learning.

PLEASE NOTE: Once you complete this registration form and pay the $100 conference fee, you'll be sent a link to reserve your room at The Tremont House at our special discounted rate (only one person in your room needs to reserve a room).

If you have questions, please contact Traci Baudin at tbaudin@gpch.org. Registration is available HERE.

    MEN'S RETREAT
Being a man in 2026 is more spiritually challenging than at any other time in our lives—and leading as one is harder still. Modern culture often erases authentic Christian masculinity by labeling it as either "toxic" or "weak," a shift that has eroded healthy leadership in our homes, churches, and communities. Join Grace Men at this retreat to reclaim your identity in Christ. Learn to lead through a masculinity that brings purpose to your soul, your family, and your world. We will conclude our time together with worship on Sunday morning.

    Dates: March 20-22

    Location: Camp Cho-Yeh, Livingston, Texas

Bring: Bible, and clothes for mild physical activity.

Cost: $225 (scholarships are available for any who need it)

    Register HERE

  5. STUDENT MISSION TRIP and LUNCH IS SERVED
  6. MISSION TRIP DEADLINE
The registration deadline for the High School Student Summer Mission Trips is February 1.
All high schoolers (rising tenth graders through graduated seniors) are invited to join us as we fly to Montana, June 13-20! We will be assisting in various projects around Whitefish, MT, ranging from work on farms and reservations to working within the church with VBS.

LUNCH IS SERVED AND STUDENT SUNDAY
Sunday, February 22, at 9:30 a.m. is when students take over all of worship, leading the congregation in a joyful noise and gathering in honor of our God. After the service, the students also help hold an auction that funds our summer mission trips. Our congregation does a wonderful job of supporting our students each year on this day that we all look forward to!

GOOD NEWS OF THE WEEK

We celebrate the things that we have offered to God that are bearing fruit-- We celebrate what God is doing!

Earlier this month, Grace Men came out in force for an evening of brotherhood and barbeque hosted by Grace Men's Ministry and the Bennett family. The objective was to create a space for the men of Grace to know each other over some good barbeque, which we accomplished! The barbecue night was the first event for Men's Ministry in 2026, and we have plenty more planned:

Sunday, February 8: Pre-Game on the Lawn:
Bring your family out at 4 p.m. for a short tailgate devotional before the Super Bowl starts, then stick around to enjoy appetizers, game food, and soft drinks in the Welcome Center. We know the game is long and you have families (and/or other Super Bowl parties to go), so feel free to slip away to your other plans or stay and watch the game!

Friday, March 20–Sunday, March 22: Men’s Retreat
All the details and registration links are found HERE

Saturday, May 16: Dad’s/Grandad’s Night at the Ballpark
Men, come join us with your children or your grandchildren as we watch the Astros take on the archrival Texas Rangers.

Friday, June 26–Saturday, June 27: Overnight Trip
We encourage all men to bring their families for an overnight trip to New Braunfels, where we will tube the Comal River together. It should make great memories for all Grace dads and their families.

Saturday, August 1: Marriage Conference
Save the date: Grace Men will be hosting a marriage conference—more details to come!
