- CHURCH OFFICER NOMINATIONS
Each year at Grace, we nominate fellow covenant partners (members) to serve in leadership as elders and deacons. This year's class of new leaders will serve a three-year commitment beginning January 1, 2026.
Grace, an ECO (A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians) congregation, is governed by the Session, which is composed of elders. The deacons provide care ministries to the congregation. Both elders and deacons are vital to the health of the congregation. These positions require different skills, talents, and gifts. Each has unique duties and requires different energies. Both deacons and elders are required to adhere to the ECO Essential Tenets.
You'll find more information and the nomination forms online HERE. The deadline is Wednesday, May 14.
- MEN'S LIFE LUNCH
The next Grace Men's Life Lunch will be Wednesday, May 21, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in MT Fellowship Hall. Bill Brown, the voice of the Astros for 25 years, will be joining us! Bill is just completing his book on American athletes involved in the six wars that America has fought since World War I. Bill will share what he learned in his years of research and interviews, focusing on the spiritual aspects of their experiences, and showing us different ways to live and grow as God fearing men. Register HERE so we know how many to prepare for!
- SECOND SATURDAY SERVE
Second Saturday Serve is a once a month, come-as-you-are, intergenerational, short service opportunity in the Welcome Center or out in the community. Join us for an hour or two and make a difference in someone’s life. Watch the Grace homepage and Grace Weekly email for project details each month. Second Saturday Serve for May 10 will be held at Paul Revere Middle School Garden. The project will include harvesting, weeding, adding another bed, and placing gravel. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and be completed by noon. Thank you for considering this community project!
GOOD NEWS OF THE WEEK
We celebrate the things that we have offered to God that are bearing fruit-- We celebrate what God is doing! Since the beginning of the year, we have been striving to integrate the concepts and principles found in John Mark Comer's book Practicing the Way into our Rhythm of Grace. Many of you have been diving deeper through the Sunday EPIC courses and finding it a great way to think about and deepen your faith. The good news is that the women of the Inspire! weekly Bible study have been so inspired by it, they have decided to keep "Practicing the Way" into the summer and would love it if you would join them. They will be exploring what it means to follow the Way of Jesus: to be with Him, become like Him, and do as He did. Study materials will be provided, but you may purchase the book to enhance your study HERE. The study meets every other Tuesday evening, through August 19 (we'll be skipping July 1), from 6:45-8-45 p.m. in MT 201. You may register for the study HERE.
WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY
If you are out of town or unable to be here to worship in-person this week, please join us online via livestream HERE. Sunday we will be looking into Ephesians 2:14-22 as part of a short sermon series titled "The Church." It is Mother's Day and we will have a full worship service, including recognizing our graduating seniors, introducing the newest confirmands, and of course, we'll be celebrating moms and the other significant voices in our lives. Following worship, VBS t-shirts will be available for purchase! See you Sunday at 9:30 a.m.!

FINANCIAL UPDATE
As stewards of His gifts, it's important to know where we stand financially as a church. As always, your faithfulness to your pledge and the ministry of Grace and His Kingdom is greatly appreciated. Actual 2025 collections to date: $872,668 (as of 4/30/25) Amount needed prior to year end: $1,927,332
The amount collected over the same period last year was $815,581.33, so comparing last year to 2025, we see a 7% increase, or $57,086.20. The budget for January to April 2025 was $797,000, so the $872,668 collected represents a 9% increase over budget ($75,668).
