CHRISTMAS FOR THE CITY 2024 Christmas for the City: 10th Anniversary Celebration!  This year marks the 10th anniversary of Christmas for the City, and we are excited to come together as a church family on Sunday, December 8 to make a lasting impact on the lives of others in our community! We will be partnering with these organizations to serve our neighbors: Sleep in Heavenly Peace: We will work together to build beds for children in need, ensuring that every child has a safe and comfortable place to sleep. Some of the beds will go to kids and families we know through Friends of Westchase. We'll also team up with Build-A-Bear to make the new beds even more cozy. Kids' Meals Houston: Our mission will include providing lunches to children across Houston who might otherwise go without. How Can You Get Involved? Volunteer: There will be many opportunities for all ages to serve, from building beds to packaging lunches. Register to serve HERE. If you need childcare, you may register your kids at the same link. Donate: Financial contributions will go directly toward these outreach efforts. You may make a donation HERE. Pray: Your prayers for these efforts and the individuals we’ll be serving are invaluable!

Grace invites you to a special holiday worship service designed for those for whom the holidays might be difficult. If you or someone you know have undergone a difficult loss, transition, or life change, the church cares about you and invites you to a special time of music, worship and reflection during the Advent season. The Lord calls us to care for others, especially during tender times. Be mindful of those around you and perhaps extend an invitation and offer to attend the worship service with them. What a blessing to be a blessing to others.

Pastor Julia is having her annual open house earlier this year! Drop by at any time for some coffee, cookies, and conversation and start the 2024 Advent season with a smile! Sunday, December 1, 1-3 p.m. at her home at 1602 Beaconshire Road, Houston.

How is God calling you to use your time, talent, and treasure during this time of generosity? Together, we will have the chance to take the next right step and respond to God's call, as an act of worship in the coming weeks. We will submit our pledge cards either by mail, online, or in person, and will dedicate these offerings this Sunday, November 24 during worship. We hope you will be there for the joyous celebration, as we use these gifts to continue Christ's work within our city and around the world.

This Sunday we will continue the fall sermon series on Hebrews, looking at Hebrews 13:1-3, with an eye toward stewardship.

We will have a Story of Grace during the service, and also welcome the kids to a Children at the Chancel time. It is also Dedication Sunday, a time when we will dedicate our gifts to God in response to Together We Take the Next Right Step. See you at 9:30 a.m.!
